I started this article on Wednesday, August 1st:

Okay, I am drunk! I went for a beer after work. This is something that I do everyday. I alsways stop at Brewsters Castledowns for ONE beer after work. It relaxes me and allows me time to read the newspaper and wind down after a day at the old grind.

Today, however, I bumped into a friend of my sister’s at Brewsters. Being in the inside group at the bar he introduced me to the pleasure that is BlueberryBeerLinis. This concoction has Blueberry Beer with real blueberries floating in it. Added to it is berlini slushy mix. Woah!! GOOOOOOOOD! After a regular Original pint I devoured one of these beauties and now I am loaded. Here I sit, drunk, waiting for Chinese Food to arrive….

So where does Telus figure into this. Well let me tell you. It has been a horrendous day at work and Telus made it even worse.

Does anyone remember the day I blogged about the lousy customer service at Telus? Of course you do. Well, I go my fancy Motorola i880 back yesterday. It took them about three weeks to decide to REPLACE the old defective phone, still charging me 155.00 +tax to replace it. Indeed, they still assume I am lying about having never dropped the phone.

Well, I got home last night and charged my h700 bluetooth® headset getting it ready for work today. Then I paired my phone with my Garmin GPS unit to utilize the hands free feature in the car. Ready to rock and roll.

The next morning I hopped in the car turning on the GPS and heading out to face the day. No sooner was in the car and a call came in. The Garmin took over and I was connected, but the noise was horrific. Static and squeeling… ARGH. I told the caller I would call back, thinking the Garmin didn’t like my phone. I couldn’t find my headset, so I just threw caution to the wind and used the phone while driving. Nice clear call.

When I arrived at work I found my bluetooth® headset and turned it on. Immediately there was the same static. Also, now the phone to seemed to be connecting to the bluetooth® every few minutes. Not good. So I found another guy at work who had the same headset. I borrowed it and tried to connect to my phone. It did so with the same result, static and noise.

Back to Telus I went. I expected since this was a brand new phone and I had picked it up less than a day before, they would simply replace it. NOT! They have to send it to the repair depot!! WHAT? I have had the phone less than 2 months. Now it has been sent for repairs TWICE in that period of time. IN the meantime they wanted a 300.00 deposit, 250.00 of which would be returned when I pick up my phone? WHAT? Why on earth would I have to pay 50 bucks when it is their equipment that is screwing up? Oh, well that is the activation fee. ACTIVATION fee. I have to pa to activate a LOANER PHONE THAT I ONLY HAVE BECAUSE YOUR EQUIPMENT SUCKS? Shove that!!

What gives with Telus? Where the hell is their customer service? As I was heading through the showroom I saw a guy looking at the same phone I have now dropped off twice for service. I told him my experience with the phone (buyer beware)… I was then asked by some salesperson to please leave. Hmmmm?? Afraid you might lose a sale? You should be.

So all in all it was a miserable day until I discovered BlueberryBeerLinis!!
